Does exactly what it was made to do December 2, 2009 R. Smetzer (Columbus OH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pros: Good Cable length and solid construction. No issues at all. Overall probably one of the better 4 port KVM switchs available. The control switch, sized just right, small enough that it does not take up desk space, large enough to allow toggling at the touch of a finger.
Cons: None.
Considerations: This is a KVM, not a KVMA. No audio switching.
4 Port USB KVM Switch review December 10, 2009 roguetrader 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The IOGear is very easy to use and very effective at switching between machines. I prefer the small button that this switch has compared to using hot keys on your keyboard and it is capable of being constantly used between different machines.
I would recommend the IOGear 4 port USB for its effectiveness and ease of use.
Unobtrusive December 27, 2009 Jim Lewis (NJ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was surprised how small it is with an even smaller corded remote control. But it does the job just fine. I really like that the cables do not have connectors on the box side - less connections to make.
Great KVM Switch November 2, 2009 Jason E. Carmichael (Folsom, Ca USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The setup on this was very easy; everything needed was in the box. Simply plug in the keyboard, monitor, and mouse to the switch and then connect your system with the included wires. I have this switch connected an IBM laptop running XP on a docking station, a Dell desktop running XP and a Dell laptop running the 64 bit version of Vista on a USB docking station. My keyboard and mouse are both wireless. All three computers are working great and switching between systems is very easy. I have tried other switches that use hot keys to switch between system and none worked "all" the time. FYI... There are cables for a forth computer, but I have not used it yet.
Better than expected, solid, easy to use March 7, 2010 C. Tucker (Texas) I needed somehting that would allow me to switch keyboard between three computers (not currently using the monitor feature). I have a wireless keyboard and mouse, use the USB wireless adapter plugged into the device and dongle easily switches the keyboard and mouse between three computers with less than 1 second delay MAXIMUM (after pressing the dongle button and move my hand back to keyboard - ready to use) was expecting it might take longer switching between computers. It switches in sequence 1 - 4 with lights on the device to tell you which computer should be active. I have lined up so number 1 is on left where number 1 light is, with middle showing number two and third to right... to make it less confusing I simply covered the last light with small piece of black electrical tape (matches the color very well with out making it look bad). This way if leave desk and come back I can see at a glance which computer is currently linked to keyboard and mouse. If working on number two computer and need to work on number one, you must click button 3 times to sequence (2,3,4 back to 1). Very simple... the only way could see making that easier is if they added a second button to move if different direction say 4,3,2,1 as option to 1,2,3,4 for my use, based on the excellent quality construction - SOLID well made with very good quality wires in line going to each computer.
